Baseline Finishes

VPE Electrodynamics is dedicated to good sound first, however we know that for many music lovers, a new loudspeaker is also a new piece of furniture.  Accordingly, appearance – particular the finish is important.  Our baseline speakers are all finished in premium cabinet paint – specifically Sherwin Williams “Emerald” Urethane paint which is a water-based paint in semi-gloss or stain finish formulated for upscale kitchens and bathroom cabinets and millwork.  This paint can be ordered in over 150 colors to match your home décor.  As a build-to-order company, we can paint your speaker in semi-gloss or satin finish in any color depicted below and identified at: https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/products/emerald-urethane-trim-enamel Just let us know what color and texture you want at the time of order.

Optional Veneers, Laminates and Acrylic Fascia Sheets

VPE Electrodynamics is dedicated to good sound first, however, we know that for many music lovers, a new loudspeaker is also a new piece of furniture.  Accordingly, appearance – particular the finish is important.  Our baseline finish is painted, however for the Model 2 and the Crystal Dipole frame, veneered finishes are available in any species of wood offered Sauer’s Veneers. We can also finish your speakers in laminates from Formica or Wilson Art in any color desired, (including basic black).  Since we are a factory-direct order business, we can offer a bespoke finish with any surface veneered and/or painted.  Samples of veneer and laminate can also be provided to allow you to match your other speakers or adjacent furniture.  In addition, we offer ¼” thick black acrylic fascia sheets for the top and sides of the Model 2 to provide a glossy waterproof black finish with mirror-like reflectance.
